BOUN Biomechanics Laboratory focusses on skeletal muscle mechanics and musculoskeletal biomechanics utilizing several methodologies including animal experiments, finite element modeling, intra-operative experiments in human patients, magnetic resonance imaging & diffusion tensor imaging techniques. MADE IN NTSP (Motion Assistive Devices Ecosystem in Neurotechnological Solutions Platform) is one of the Shared Infrastructures of NeurotechEU that offers state-of-the-art research capacity in human movement sciences and motion assistive technologies.

Neurotechnological Solutions Platform (NTSP) is a large-scale university-industry collaboration structure for co-development of translational innovations in Neurorobotics, Neuroinformatics, Clinical Neurotevhnology and Neurometaphysics dimensions of neurotechnology. NTSP encompasses all NeurotechEU associated partners BOUN nominated: Bilkent, Sabancı and Istanbul Universities, BU-TTO, Karel Electronics, Interact Technologies and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. NTSP develops human motion assistive device and medical imaging technologies and BOUN R&D School.

NeurotechEU WP4 Common Policies and Strategy Development Actions Include

- Understanding Societal Challenges - New tools in the from of questionaires to assess 8 NeurotechEU nations’ perspectives on neurotechnological advances: Societal Innovation. Data collected converted into impact: scientific (academic papers) and societal (science communucation, engagement with the society and governance bodies).

- Smart Specialization in NeurotechEU: Analyze scientific state-of-the-art in 8 neurotechnology dimensions globally, identify scientific challenges, critically seek their strong, weak, or lacking relations with solution providing technologies: Technological Innovation. Develop NEURICOO into a regional and industrial stakeholder engagement gateway for NeurotechEU. Integrate Societal and Technological Innovation to set evidence-based priorities for research, innovation, education, investment. Form university-industry-regional stakeholder collaboration models that benefits the society.

- Socio-Technological Citizenship: Implement Trans-disciplinarty in research, innovation and education to achieve ethical and responsible models training of future experts of neurotechnology and sustainable regional development. Lifelong learning programs are a priority.
