Learning outcomes

Students will gain broad knowledge on research of drug mechanisms, identification of drug targets and the development of novel drugs in the field of neurological disorders. By the end of the module they will be able to analyse, interpret and present their experimental data and to reflect and apply contents of lectures and seminars. Apart from molecular pharmacology, this module will also cover essential aspects of industrial drug research and development as well as drug regulatory affairs. Accordingly, these interdisciplinary topics will be presented by docents from academia,
from pharmaceutical companies and from the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (Bundesinstituts für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte, BfArM).
