About this course

Topics covered include:

  • Reconstruction of neuron morphologies
  • Histological preparation of brain tissue
  • Electrophysiological recordings of single neurons in vivo
  • Simulations of cellular function via multi-compartmental neuron models
Learning outcomes

This module provides students with hands-on experience how to combine experimental and computational methods to study the relationships between neuronal structure and function in the living animal. They will gain insight into state-
