About this course
The goal of the course is to teach evidence-based therapies and evidence-based methods for neurodevelopmental disorders in children, and cognitive rehabilitation for children with brain injuries and/or brain function changes. Emphasis is on practical application by using case studies to give students insight into which treatment/training is appropriate in different situations.
Learning outcomes
- Knowledge: Learn the fundamentals of evidence-based therapy for neurodevelopmental disorders and cognitive rehabilitation for children. Describe clinical guidelines for different neurodevelopmental disorders and cognitive problems.
- Skills: Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment with appropriate methods. Choose appropriate evidence-based therapy and/or cognitive rehabilitation for children's neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Competence: Apply evidence-based therapy and/or cognitive rehabilitation for children with neurodevelopmental disorders. Present individualized evidence-based therapy and/or rehabilitation plans for school, home, and clinical settings.
Prerequisites for participation
MsC or equivalent qualification in clinical psychology.
