About this course

This course will enable learners to understand frequently used sentences and expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. basic personal and family information, food, shopping, employment, local geography). Participants will learn how to describe personal experiences and events; request and give basic information regarding everyday (university) subjects – orally and in writing, fill in commonly used forms and talk about education and the school system.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course students will - have reached level A1 of the Common European Framework - be able to interact in a simple way - be able to introduce themselves and name their field of research - understand and use familiar everyday expressions and basic phrases - be able to read and write short texts with simple phrases/sentences
