Promoting Diversity in Neuroscience Events
Funding eligibility

This program is open to any organizer of smaller neuroscience events, including symposia, workshops, short courses, etc. IBRO membership is not a requirement. Eligible events must be held in 2027 and can be conducted in-person or in a hybrid format. Virtual formats are not eligible. IBRO Society Meeting Support grantees will not be considered for this program in the same year.

Abstract

Supports the inclusion of diverse and underrepresented speakers in neuroscience events, fostering advancements in neurology, cognitive science, neuroimaging, and neural stimulation while encouraging equitable representation in the study of the nervous system.

The maximum grant amount an applicant can request varies based on the region where the event is located and is determined by the corresponding IBRO Regional Committee. Please note the maximum grant amounts below: Asia-Pacific: 5,000 USD Africa: 3,000 USD Latin America: 4,500 USD Pan-Europe: 5,000 USD US/Canada: 3,000 USD Applicants may request funding for more than one speaker, as long as the total requested grant amount does not exceed the maximum allowed for your region.
