About this course

This seminar focuses on the increasing importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in academic research and writing, providing practical insights into AI technologies; use in these areas.The workshop explores ChatGPT and prompt engineering, as well as other academic AI tools to aid research and writing, examining both benefits and challenges. Ethical aspects, such as copyright and authenticity of research results, are discussed, with the goal of equipping participants with practical knowledge and skills to effectively utilize AI in daily research through interactive elements like case studies and group discussions.

Learning outcomes
  • Recognise the benefits of Artificial Intelligence in academic writing and be able to use different AI tools effectively. Learn the different possibilities of ChatGPT with correct prompting
    Learn how AI can be used for brainstorming and idea generation in academic contexts
  • Explore different AI tools that can facilitate research and writing.
  • Create awareness of and evaluate ethical concerns and potential risks of AI use in publishing
  • Conduct critical discussions about the future role of AI in academia
Prerequisites for participation

This course is open to NeurotechEU members, PhD students, Postdocs, Established researchers. It is required to mention NTEU affiliation when applying.
