We will investigate language at different levels: from words and their meanings, to sentences and discourse. Example topics are: How does the neuroanatomical make-up of the brain influence language understanding? Are there specific brain regions for language? Are there principles in the way the brain is organised that remain applicable to reorganisation after brain damage? Active participation during lectures is expected.
