One of the leading Turkish research universities, excelling in engineering and natural science, with a strong emphasis on applied research.
Together with researchers from BOUN (amongst others), Sabancı University will be developing new technologies in Neuromorphic Control, Neurorobotics and Clinical Neurotechnology towards product development, e.g., patient specific medical robots, rehabilitation robotic systems, neurorehabilitation devices.
Sabancı University's Human Machine Interaction Laboratory is led by Prof. Volkan Patoğlu who is a mechanical engineer by training and and expert in robotics. Human Machine Interaction Laboratory and Neurotechnological Solutions Platform (NTSP) collaborate strongly towards co-development of novel human motion assistive device technologies. Prof. Volkan Patoğlu is the founder of the company Interact Technologies, which develops translational innovations in the field of neurorobotics and comercializes motion assistive devices. Also Interact Technologies and Neurotechnological Solutions Platform collaborate strongly (as an associated partner to NTSP)
